  • Batch XML export from FCP?

Posted by Karel Voners on September 9, 2014 at 9:55 am

    Hi,

Anyone know if it’s possible to export multiple sequences as XML in one go? Instead of having to select them all one by one?

I can map a key to the command but still it’s tedious when having to export 50-100 of them on a weekly basis…

    Cheers,
    K.

With nothing selected in your bin, use File>Export>XML.

The next window will give you a tally at the top of what will be contained in the XML.

If you wanted to be more selective, you could highlight just the sequences you want and export an XML containing those selected.

yeah, FCP will export an XML of whatever you have selected,
so if you select 50 sequences, or put them al in a bin and select that,
    that’s what you will export.

however, ALL that info will be in one XML file
wether or not that will be useful, you will have to test.
