Working on a doc. I have 8TB of 422 footage on my RAID.

I’ve created a directory structure that relates to each day of shooting. 7-10-11, 7-11-11, 7-12-11, etc.

I want to transcode everything to 422 proxy so I can get my stuff on a portable drive and edit while I’m on the road next month.

Can I somehow batch transcode to a new disk while making a clone of the directory structure where the “big” media resides?

Know what I mean? Same file structure on the new disk, just with proxy media in it.

I know a way to replace all the media and file structure manually, but that’s a mundane job. If it could be automated, that would be nice.

    Ideas?
