Batch template editing suggestions?
Hello, could someone please help with the following matter: I need to edit 20 after effects projects at once and I was wondering if there is some kind of way to link with an expression, layers from one project to another. To be more precise: the 20 projects are basically created from the same mother template but with different customization: colors, characters and music. Now, I found out that in AE CS6 I can open all of these projects at once by dragging the project files in the project area and this is very helpful when I batch render them. At this point I only need to change the script (texts) as my client requests. I would like to link somehow to source text of the layers from the projects, so I can automatize the process of editing so I don’t have to do it 20 times for each layer every time. If not an expression is the solution, any other ideas for a workaround? Proxies might not work because each layer has a fill expression. Thank you
