I’m having trouble with the batch renderer. When rendering each sequence individually, everything looks fine. When using the same settings in batch renderer, there are several color/brightness issues. It happens on clips that have the 3way-cc effect applied to. I have 26 sequences in the project file, it is a pain to manually render each and everyone of them every time I’m doing changes. Is batch renderer known to cause issues? Is there any other way for multiple renders? Thanks!

is this FCP7 you’re asking about?
if not try the FCPX techniques forum.

in FCP7 there’s no specific “batch renderer”, but you can do a render all on selected sequence in the browser.
i’ve never heard of a problem like yours.

you could edit all your sequence into one new one, and render the whole thing,
then news them back into individual sequences

    Hi Nick,

yes I am indeed talking about FCP 7.
I am using the “batch render” function:

    ah… Batch EXPORT
in FCP “render” is what you do IN the timeline, before you export.

so what are your export settings?

one main point of difference is that by default your files out of Batch Export don’t have a .mov on the end
i wonder if that could be it?

sounds like a gamma issue, hard to pin down.

Right, sorry for misusing the term. I haven’t used fcp7 in more than 5 years, so … ????

I just tried rendering two files by sending them to Compressor. This worked, no flickering or gamma issues. Weird! Going to use it this way. Thanks for your input!
