  • Batch Render – cannot “reach” button to render regions

Posted by Bob Ridge on December 28, 2016 at 4:21 am

Hi! I just got a new Dell XPS 15 laptop & love it so far. Using Sony Vegas Pro 12. I have a project set up with dozens of regions to be rendered as separate clips. However, when I go to “batch render,” the interface is scrunched up to the point that the “render regions” options is not visible, and the box cannot be expanded. I’ve tried changing the laptop’s display resolution (everything from 4k to 800×600), as well as the font size display percentage (100-225%), and while everything else in Vegas changes, the dialog box looks the same every time. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Update: I figured out how to use keyboard commands to toggle & select radio buttons, so I was able to “blindly” select the regions button & it seems to be working. That said, I’d prefer to be able to see what I’m doing, obviously.

Update: A simple reboot expanded the box. Not all the way, but enough for me to see the regions button to click it. The “go” button is still hiding behind the radio buttons, but I can click the edge of it to start the renders. Good enough for now. Still a mystery, though. I wonder if with this new laptop, I’m missing a smaller or scalable system font that is intended to be in that part of the dialog box instead of what appears to be a default Arial font.

Its probably an issue caused by your graphics/video card also….
