Having lost a g-raid to neglectful management, we’re in the process of re-digitizing some PAL DVCAM tapes to our XpressPro system. Batch digitize was having an error at the very end of the process, so we’ve been simply dragging the offline clip over top of the capture window to populate the fields with the original tape info, then relinking the footage to the original clips.

Problem is, on a couple of the captures the system is generating multiple clips where our original held only one, which of course prevents the relink feature from seeing the media with the same duration, etc. Bottom line, it’s not capturing the correct in-out in one single clip.

I had thought the problem could have been due in part to the upper limit of the size (2gb?) truncating our new files, but this segmentation of single clips has been happening with media much smaller than the limit, so something else is happening.

Any tips on how to force the capture window to capture the in-out to a single clip instead of making multiple clips?

    Thanks,

    Aaron

In the Capture settings, there’s an option to set the maximum capture duration. Perhaps that is set wrong? Just a shot in the dark…
