Batch move audio?
Posted by Ben Northenor on February 26, 2015 at 8:48 pmPlease help…. I am working on a TV show and all my C-Cam audio is always 2 frames off. Is there a way to batch move the audio 2 frames for every clip so I don’t have to sync each individual clip? Thank you.

February 27, 2015 at 2:46 amAre you trying to slip sync clips that are VA and out of sync, or you’re trying to sync this clip to another clip via timecode and it is off by two frames?

February 27, 2015 at 4:52 amAll the footage I get from my C Camera (jam synced). I load the clips into my Avid and the audio for each clip is always 2 frames off. I know the easiest solution is to tell my cameraman, but I have footage from a few weeks ago. I have to go in and move all the audio over two frames for each clip. It would be nice if I could batch move the audio two frames for each clip in one pass.

February 27, 2015 at 2:52 pmIf double system, then you just need to change the timecode relationship of either the V or A clips before the syncing/grouping process. So rather than use START for the process, you will want to “duplicate” the START column into the AuxTC1 column. Highlight the problem video clips (C camera) and select Modify. In the dialog box that appears, selected increment/decrement timecode or something to that effect. Select AUxTC1 from the menu and do a +/- 2 frames. Clicking OK will result in the timecode being offset by two frames. Now when syncing or grouping, use AuxTC1 instead of START.
