Batch Make indépendant clips from timeline
Hi,
I am working on a virtual choir project and will have over 200 people part fo the same. I am trying to find the best way to edit this in FCP. I have currently lined up the tracks I have in the timeline. As each recording uses a different start and end point I want to try and create new clips that all start at the same time so I can drop them into various Video Wall plugins. What I need to do is either create new independent clips for the whole selection at once or new compound clips for each of the clips. The only way I can do that currently is to make a new compound clip for each of the clips on the timeline but this is very time consuming. What I want is to be able to select all the clips and batch make either compound or new clips. I have searched the web but can’t seem to find any info. Any help is very welcome.

Here is a similar 64-layer project. They apparently used all connected clips (not multicam or compound clips), cut them at the transition points, scaled them, and then enabled/disabled the clips using the V key.
