I have a project that I am bouncing back and forth between a raid drive and a travel drive. The project has gotten a bit larger than I expected and I want to turn all clips into proxies so performance is better with the travel drive. It seems that I can only do one clip at a time. Is there some short cut to electing a batch of clips and creating proxy media?

Should be able to group select and Optimize>Generate Proxies.

I was trying to group select then go to the inspector and generate proxies from that path, This was suggested by the FCPX help menu. I’ll try it your way and see what happens. – And yes, your suggestion was spot on and so simple.

Select clips in event, right click and choose transcode. Then check proxies.
