    Hi all,

I created still images from a DVCPRO HD timeline, copied them to the browser and then put them in a new uncompressed HD timeline. Now I’m trying to take those stills from the uncompressed HD timeline and Batch Export them as separate still images (JPEG) but FCP is only exporting the first three.

I set the destination to the desktop and changed my options to JPEG. It doesn’t seem like I’m doing anything wrong but obviously I’m missing something. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just select the stills in the Browser, and export them from there.

Thanks Jerry, but perhaps I was unclear in my post. After putting the clips in the uncompressed HD timeline I am selecting them all in the browser and trying to batch export, still not working…

Sounds like a bug then… do report this in the feedback link found in the FCP menu.

Is this an image sequence you’re trying to make? or? (maybe we can think of a faster work around or something)

Not an image sequence, I just need separate files for each still. It’s not a huge amount of stills (maybe 20), so I can do them one at a time. I just wanted to figure out why it wouldn’t work. I will report this to Apple, thanks.

I have had this problem too!

I will only get the first three images in my batch export to work. Sometimes it’s the first five, or a random three… sometimes only one or even none.

I am batch exporting as many as several hundred images for print as tiffs. It has always worked for me in the past in the previous FCP on the previous OSX. My workaround now is to capture on the new FCP, export the media to the old FCP on an older computer, export the stills then re-import them on to my newer machine for faster processing in Photoshop. It’s a drag, but it works.

    Anyone else have this issue?
