Batch exporting file summaries out of CatDV
Is it possible to batch export clip summaries with the desired metadata out of CatDv into one large or multiple text docs or pdfs? I’m looking to create a simple text document(s) that have all the basic information and specific user defined fields that I can hand off. XML’s aren’t bringing the desired text into excel or word as cleanly as I’d like. Maybe I’m not doing it right. Summary pages are perfect but it seems you can only access/export them one at a time per clip (file).
Any thoughts? Thanks very much.

there are at least a couple of ways of going about this
you can export data in CatDV in a number of ways see https://www.squarebox.com/client-manual-additional-importers-and-exporters/ for the options but using catdv’s own xml will give you all the metadata for a selection of clips
alternatively by creating custom views and then printing them you can achive a more bespoke output in a verity of formats see the links below for pointers on how to customize displays and print
