I’m working with DVCProHD 1280×720 footage at 23.976, FCP 5.1.4. I need to export targa image sequences for over 20 different sequences in my FCP project.

I tested individual exports and confirmed that I can type in 23.976 into the frame rate field of my targa export setting window and the resulting image sequence is accurate.

However, if I try to do a batch export I’m offered a different settings window with pulldown options that only include targa 25fps and targa 29.97 options. If I choose the 25fps option I am still presented with a second options window where I can type in 23.976 as my frame rate, but after doing an overnight batch export of several sequences I just discovered that it export them at 25fps anyway. Individually exporting one sequence did result in 23.976fps, but not batch export.

I’m now faced with doing each export individually, which is a time destroyer.

Anyone know how to set the image sequence frame rate to 23.976 on batch export?

    export, quicktime conversion?

Right. That’s the path to follow for exporting an individual sequence.

Batch exporting provides a different path of windows for settings, hence my question…

right, the option for conversion is gone for batch export. I tried that a few weeks ago. Dang.

You’ll have to blow some time but just export some QT reference movies and do the conversion in another utility or AE. No sense tying FCP with an export anyway.
