  • Batch Export sample rate convert error

I discovered an odd error. I had to convert a bunch of cues from a composer from 44.1 Khz to 48 Khz. I was in a hurry, so I pulled them into a bin in Final Cut, and then exported as DV 48Khz, audio only, using Batch Export.

All the files ended up shortened, so I then re- converted my usual way using Quicktime directly and things were fine.

I think the Batch Export from Final Cut may have created the same number of samples, at the new sample rate, which reduced the length of the audio clips?!

Anyway, not recommended as a useful method.

Use compressor for this, make a droplet and be done.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve only used Compressor a couple times, so I’ll read the user manual and add it to my arsenal.

It’s really easy. Drag all your audio clips into compressor, select all, choose Settings > Audio formats > AIFF 48/16 or 48/24. Hit submit and away you go.
