Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy batch export

    Hey,

I need to be able to create a simple workflow for people I work with (who have no experience with Final Cut) that:

Enables them to do a batch export and conversion so that they can use their clips in PowerPoint on a windows machine.

I know that I am able to use cleaner, but I am trying to come up with the simplest ‘idiot proof’ workflow so that people can learn to do this

themselves and i can get on with my actual work!!

At the moment I am experimenting with the different compression in the batch export list ( The windows machine however

does not like the Quicktime ‘file wrapper’) and also playing around with compressor ( i have never used compressor before

and while think it is relatively straight forward…….. not sure about others, besides the windows machine, running XP will not

even recognise the files created in compressor)

Thanks very Much For your Time

Is QuickTime actually installed on the Windows machine that will have to play these files? What version? What settings are you using on your production machine to compress the video?

You might consider getting one of the new WMV export components from Popwire or Flip4Mac and using that on your Mac to compress the video for the Windows machine.
