Batch Encoding
Is there a way to batch encode multiple files in Premiere Pro CS4? I have numerous AVCHD 1440 x 1080i and Quicktime HD 1920 x 1080i files that need to be encoded to SD Mpeg 2 Widescreen. Working on a Quadcore PC, Vista 64, 8 GB ram, Raid 0. Anyone?

To add to my original post, I was having a problem adding the AVCHD files into the Media Encoder. I originally tried bringing in (5)files at once,(they are about 1 GB each), and the Encoder freaked. Brought in 2 and then 3 files at once, and all was OK. The MOV Quicktime files, also about 1 GB each, popped right in. They are all taking their turn being encoded as I type this. What I really need to do, however, is line them up on the timeline in Premiere, add a pillar box overlay and a Color Correction FX (the same for all files), and have each one of them batch encoded to SD Mpeg2 Widescreen. Can this be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit the clips how you want over multiple timelines and then send each timeline to AME, once you use a preset, each timeline sent after that will hold the same AME settings so it should work out quite fine for you.
