Hi, I have a stupid problem:

I created proxies with MPEG Streamclip from my original 4K files for editing in Avid (I know, I should have created the proxies in Avid, but now it’s to late). Now the editor sent me an .AAF for grading in Resolve Lite. Since MPEG Streamclip doesn’t pull trough the timecode when transcoding, all the proxy clips in the AAF start with 00:00:00:00, while the 4K files have the original camera timecode. Because of that, Resolve clearly can’t conform the timeline with the 4K files. I tested setting the timecode in a 4K file manually to 00:00:00:00 an activated in Resolve the conform option “Assist using reel names from the: source clip filename” and it actually worked. Resolve conformed this one clip to it’s right place in the timeline.

Does anybody know a possibility to batch-edit the timecode of all my 4K clips (ca. 2TB of material) to set it to 00:00:00:00 for all the clips?

    Thanks for your help!!

Before you bring in media and try to do the conform, in the project settings, under conform options set it to “use timecode: from the source clip frame count”. But be warned you will be doing a lot of conflict resolution in your conform, as basically all of your clips will have overlapping timecode.
