Hi, I know I’m having a brain freeze on something obvious, but I’m not able to solve it right now.

An assistant editor digitized several tapes of betaSP footage uncompressed and I need to recapture it at DV/DVCPRO-NTSC. I’ve done this in the past by marking the clips offline and deleting the media, then re-batch capturing the tapes. But the now “offline” logged clips are recapturing at the same uncompressed file size, no matter what I set the “setup” at. The bin of offline clips has “uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2” in the compressor column and I think that when it’s batch digitizing it’s defaulting back to what it was first digitized at. I don’t see a way to delete the setting of the first capture.

I’m sure that I don’t need to relog the clips and start from scratch, but I’m not sure how to easily get the clips recaptued in the proper codec.

    Advice?

    Thanks – M

When you go to Batch Digitize, change the compression setting in that Batch window.
