I’ve got an 15 Minutes-Sequenze and want to batch-digitize the material into a better quality. FCP tells me, that the digitizing-material will be about 4 hours! The reson is, that he want’s to capture every complete clip, not only the shot extraction posted in the timeline. What can I do, that my digitizing-material will only be 15 Minutes, like my timeline?

Thanks a lot for your answers!

It may be longer than 15 minutes if there’s sync sound that is part of a split edit, but here’s the procedure:

    1. select the sequence and right click on it to select “media manager”
    2. Media manager opens and you select the following: “Create Offline”, “delete unused media (add handles if you want) and select the format you wish to recapture…
    3. select “create new project file, and then hit go…
    4. A new project file opens with clips and sequences “offline”.. batch capture that sequence or set of clips.
