    day from ****!!!

    Setup-
    Dual 2.0 mhz G5 w/ 2.5 megs 160G Sys. 10.4.3
Decklink HD w/ Multibridge SW 5.2.4
    2- La Cie 1 terras via 800FW

    Workflow-
    1. Logged 3 tapes worth of material into 1 bin
    2. Set Batch Capture last night
    3.captured tape 1 successfully
4.put tape 2 in the deck
    5.started digitizing tape 2
6.at around 07:00 it just gets stuck and puts the deck into pause
7.the only way to get out is to cmd-period
    8.then the system “Quits”
    9. from here on out everytime i go into Batch Digitize it immediately Quits.

Work arounds I have tried with no success-
    10. Trashed Prefs
    11. relogged tape #2 to a new bin
    12. made a new project file and then copyed the new bin with tape 2 into it
    13. opened “log & capture” and dragged each clip in and selected “capture clip”
    14. qued the clip, press play, and hit “capture now”

everything results in a Unexpectedly Quit message!!!!

    Additional notes-
    15. I use the apple codec via FW w/ the Sony Firewire control. I only use the BMD card for monitoring on a HD monitor
    16. I have used the FW800 Big Disk Extremes with great success. 10- 30 min. shows without a glitch

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Believe it or not????

I noticed that all my troublesome clips had a “/” in the name… example- “front/1”. I name a shot then add the “/” (slash) and allow FCP to change the # automatically. So, my clip names look like this- “front/2, front/3, etc… So, I went in and changed all the names and viola!!! Digitizing Success!!!! Not a glitch!!!

Thanks to everyone in this forum!
