Batch covert 60p to 24p
I have about 36 hours of footage from a Canon 7D so it’s all in H.264. Some of it is in 24p, and maybe half of it – if not more – is in 60p. I’d like to run everything through the same compressor queue and have it all converted to ProRes 1080 24p.
Anyone know exactly how to do this?
When I select a frame rate in compressor it seems to drop the extra frames on the clips that are 60p, so it’s not slow motion.
Any help would be great!

Magic Bullet Grinder. It will convert all your normal 1080p24 files to ProRes…and convert all your 720p60 files to 1080p24 in one swift stroke. AND it is fast.

The slow motion part? Not that I know of. I had to first use Cinema Tools to CONFORM the clip from 60p to 24p, THEN use Compressor to cross convert to 1080p. Two step process.

That’s what I thought.
I was able to run a Batch Conform using Cinema Tools, and now I’ve got Compressor crunchin’ everything into ProRes 422.

For next time, you can conform and convert to ProRes in one step in Compressor.
In the “Retiming Control” section of the Frame Controls tab, set the rate converion to fast and then click the radio button that says ” so source frame play at 23.98 fps.
