We are working on a NTSC widescreen project and have digitized HD footage in another project. I have about 100 clips that I need to bring int the NTSC project.

Any ideas on how to do a batch conversion to NTSC anamorphic widecreen?

There really isn’t a need, is there? Just import into Premiere Pro, and set the Motion effect’s Scale to the right size. Or set your project to automatically scale images to the frame size.

Won’t this slow down an SD project?

Somewhat. But if you want to pan and scan it comes in handy. Otherwise, just export out a SD frame size from the HD project and use that in the SD project. But that would be time consuming as well.
