  Batch Capturing into Avid Interplay Catalogs

  I work for a post house that just recently upgraded our Avid Adrenalines to V3 and also purchased the Avid Interplay system. We do a lot of projects that require using the same footage all coming from the same Parent project. We were told that the Catalog folder system is the perfect format for this sort of work flow, acting like a parent project. We are running into one hitch though. We receive ALEs with all the clips to be captured, we can not seem to figure out how to capture into the Catalog folder. The editor can capture individual clips into the Catalog folder, by entering in the timecode and other information and directing it to the Interplay Catalog folder, but not when an AVID bin contains offline clips imported via an ALE. What we need to know is…
  Can we batch capture directly into a Catalog folder using clips imported into an AVID bin from an ALE?
  Can we import an ALE into a Catalog folder and then batch capture?
