When I log a clip and try to batch capture it FCP plays the clip and stops short of the out point and then tells me the clip is ready for capture. if i click continue it starts over, plays the clip through, stops short of the out and tells me again that the clip is ready for capture if I cancel the clip comes up as captured but it is short of the out, and the out point is modifed to where it stopped. I just upgraded from panther to tiger and FCP 4.5 to FCP studio. I am usuing the AJA Kona SD card with the Blackmagic codec 5.0, 2 scsi Media RTS raids, FCP 5.0.2, Mac OS 10.4.2, keyspan USB to serial for RS422 deck control, Power Mac G5 w/ dual 2.5gig processors and 3.5gigs of ram. I have updated and installed all of the current drivers and firmware I can think of, is there a setting that i am missing or does anyone have any suggestions?

we had this as well with decklink extreme, but it went away with all the new updates. make sure you have all the apple and BMD updates. try using the BMD uninstaller, repair preferences, and reinstall….
btw, it only happened with long captures (40 minutes plus)
