At work I have a sweet loaded Mac Pro with an apple display. There was an existing 36 LCD which i hooked up via DVI. I know this is wrong – color looks very poor.

How would you suggest I connect this LCD to get a better more accurate image?

    Thank you

    Kyle,

As I often post, there’s a big difference between computer displays and video monitors, and between the devices that feed them. The cards that feed computer displays are called video cards simply for lack of a better term, because in reality they do a a lousy job, as you’ve found, of displaying actual video, as in a broadcast video signal.

To properly display a true video signal requires a device such as a internal I/O card (Kona or Blackmagic), or an outboard box such as a Matrox MXO, Kona IOHD, etc.

If you tell me what type of projects do you do, and what format is typical of your projects I’ll try to recommend something more specific for you.
