    Wanted a basic subtitle type effect, so built one in Motion. I have tweaked it a bit from my own use to make it more configurable.

    Basic Subtitle Tool

    – Text and banner can optionally fade in / out with a custom duration.
    – Choose from a couple of basic preset colours for / banner or select from colour pot.
    – Reposition or resize the banner.
    – Switch banner off all together if wanted.

    It’s nothing special, just sharing ideas as I learn them.

    I must be doing something wrong; I don’t see the parameters that are shown in your screen shot. (I dragged your “Basic Subtitle” above a clip, as a connected clip).

    If you go the video inspector as you were doing, instead of selecting the video tab select the one there called generator.

    There you will find all the parameters.
