    Good afternoon from sunny England…

I have a shot of a flag blowing in the breeze in my timeline which I’d like to use for the same duration but at 50% speed. However, when I select 50% speed the clip becomes twice as long and pushes everything down the timeline.

Is there a way of doing this without affecting the timeline, so I just end up with the first half of the shot slowed down to 50%, thus filling the same amount of space in the timeline?

    Thanks for reading…

    Steve.

MatchFrame to load the source clip into the monitor…. (press F)

Change Speed… Edit back into timeline

Exactly!! Changing the speed in the timeline will extend the video. Changing the speed in the VIEWER won’t!!!
