    Basic Question After Effects and PSD image

    Hello Again,

    I have a basic question. I really like the fact that AE can have a Photoshop PSD file intact, with all its layers. I have a PSD file whose various layers I would like to animate in AE. Simple things like move a layer around, fade in, fade out, etc.

    Is this type of practice a good use of the Photoshop/AE relationship?
    It seems pretty handy to me, to have the ability to animate or apply effects to layers in a psd file using After Effects.
