basic question about Red vs other plug-ins
Hello,
I hope that it’s acceptable to ask a basic question about the role of Red versus other plug-ins.
I’ve started to learn After Effects and am therefore becoming aware of the various plug-ins (e.g., Zaxwerks, Newton).
Zaxwerks appears to be focussed on 3D effects. Does Red provide similar functionality or do the different plug-ins provide different benefits?
I purchased a copy of Red thanks to the very nice cross-product discount which Boris offered a couple of months ago. Now that we’re entering the Black Friday / Cyber Monday / pre-Christmas discount period, I’m seeing more advertisements and references to other plug-ins, so I’m confused about their roles and capabilities. I’m also unclear on which plug-ins are aimed at high-end commercial production houses and which (if any) are aimed at home users.
