Two small things that really bother me while I am editing.

1 I cannot find the equivalent of Shift Z in Premiere which resizes the timeline. I am using the FCP keyboard settings and some people told me its “/” or “\” but those don’t work.

2 I am using a trackpad on my macbook pro and when I’m in the timeline swiping right/left moves me right/left, but swiping up/down ALSO move me right/left. Really annoying because I have to scroll up and down to look at my tracks now. How can I change that? I tried holding alt, shift, control, nothing works.

    Thanks.

    1. If you are using the FCP keyboard shortcuts, simply use Shift+Z as you did in FCP. Works here.
    2. If you are using a 2 finger movement for vertical movement in the Timeline, this works as expected in Premiere Pro CS6. If you are using Premiere Pro CS5.5, and earlier, make sure the pointer is hovering over the scroll bars before you move your fingers.
