Ok, this should be easy. All I’m trying to do is create a vinette (I know I have to be spelling that wrong) so that I can place the focus on the interviewee, and try and get some of the noisy background to fall off out of focus.

Is there a way to do this in FCP 4.5? Or am I going to need to head on over to Motion to do this?

    Thanks!

J., that would be “vignette.” Sorry, but I only know FCP 5, but you need an elliptical mask or matt. Check the filters for that…
