From time to time when I am making a photo montage I encounter this problem. For effect I scale and rotate an image but once I add the cross dissolve the basic motion does not change with the new handles. Sometimes it does, other times it doesn’t. Other than going into each clip and moving my keyframe to compensate for the longer handle, is there a shortcut so my transitions won’t look so choppy?

Here’s another little problem. I placed livetype textures behind my photos shot portrait style. And man these zebra looking squigglies are all over the picture. For a test fix I copied the photo and pasted it into another layer so the photos are doubled on top of one another and it fixes it but there has to be a better way. I’ve never had this problem with full motion video and not all photos have this problem.

    Thanks.

I don’t use dissolves that exceed the clip-length anymore (centered or ending at cut).
Keyframes are buggy if you put a dissolve on top. Same for slowmotion / variable speed.
If you use dissolves that start on cut at the beginning and end on cut at the end of a clip it works okay.

I usually drag the keyframes past the handle area of the transition, so that as the images blend, the motion effects are still in motion, and in doing so, don’t halt before the transition is complete.

    Morris,
