July 27, 2008 at 4:00 amHi David,
Thanks for your responses! I am experimenting with the lav and am going to continue looking into the Countryman recommended earlier. In the meantime, does the way that I have this lav affixed to the shirt look correct?

Should I tape the extra cable dangling underneath the shirt down? Any other general tips?
Thanks again!

July 28, 2008 at 2:58 pmIt looks good, though, make sure it isn’t rubbing against you. Based on what you’re doing, you shouldn’t have to tape the cable down unless you find you’re getting noise from it. What you might want to do is make a 1″ loop in the cable a couple of inches from the mic and secure it with string or tape. Again, you can see how at equipmentemporium.com and look it up under the “articles on sound”.
