I am working on a project:
    :45 spots, talking heads,
    very good recorded sound/dial
    a couple woosh sfx
ambiance music track I added in BG

I don’t have the budget to send to a pro audio guy so I am hoping to do my own audio sweetening.

So far I applied the normalization on the clips… and made sure the overall level of the spot is around -12db.

How do I create this rich sound you get when a spot comes back from mixing?

    Thx

There are many ways an audio pro enhances a track. Basic tools are EQ and compression. although, there are many more. There’s no preset formula. Google for tutorials on mixing. You will find good info.

Try the compressor/limiter filter and play with the settings until you get the result you’re looking for.

If you know how to work with Soundtrack Pro, which allows you to use VST Plugs,
Then get Ozone and WAVE, with this you can do a great audio finalisation.
Special the compressors and limiters of WAVE are incredible.
