I know this must be basic but I just need to create an animted X in the simplest form. “Slash” “Slash” if that makes sens. The first line of the X draws in (\) then the second (/). Thats it.

What is the best way to do this in motion?

The easiest way is to go to the Library tab, LiveFonts and then pick a pre animated font such as: clerk, Freehand, Gust, hand, script. Unfortunately with the easy way you can’t choose your font.

You could use the line tool and draw two lines with staggered in points. Then either keyframe the Last Point offset, or use the Shape/Write On behavior to animate the drawing on of the line.
