    now you have a new reason for sticking with final cut…just use it as a grading tool! i think the timing is a bit off on someone’s part. why would they want to bring out a grading tool on a dying system?
    just curious….

    I am sure the Baselight people developed this over the past few years in good faith and were probably not told by Apple about FCS3 being EOL’ed, just like all of us. So the only mistiming mistake was a developer having faith in a company that does pro apps for a hobby.

    Given the large install base and the reluctance of many to leave FCS and move to AVID and Adobe, plus the time and cost that the Baselight people have already committed, it makes sense to continue with this development in the hope that it feeds through to sales of the main Baselight grading tool.
