Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Base 30?

Just spoke to the editor and we have a mismatch in frame timings. My comp is PAL DV 720×576 Widescreen pix at a frame-rate of 25. Apparently this is fine but doesn’t match his timings, then I noticed ‘Base 30’ in the comp settings, what does this mean? I can’t find anywhere to change this. We both have 40 secs and 1000 frames in total but when he says eg. 2sec 17 frames, we’re looking at different frames. Also, if I have a frame rate of 25 why does the timeline counter go to 28 (and why not 29?) before it counts 1 sec?

    Am RTFM…

    Thanks

Does File / Project settings not let you change time base .. to 25, for PAL world ..?

You can change the timecode base to 25 in the Project settings.
