I was trying to de-interlace some footage in Compressor that I thought was interlaced but could not get it to spit it out as to what looked progressive. Then I realized that as I looked at the inspector window it said ‘progressive’. So I guess the whole time I was trying to de-interlace a progressive clip. However, it still looks like its interlaced. The original and the export. I’ve attached a file showing what I’m seeing. Maybe some weird kind of banding??

View the original media in FCP @ 100% – that’s one way to tell if it’s progressive or interlaced (there are other ways….) If it’s flagged incorrectly, FCP/Compressor may be handling it worng.

What is it and how was it shot?
