Banding on gradient in FCP from Motion import. Reason?

Did you ever find the answer to the banding problem. I am having the same and there seems to be no answer out there. Please let me know if you have found one.

on that project no. I ended up doing a stylized pixelated background instead. Let me know if you do figure it out though. I must have been missing something.
