banding in video
I am using Vegas 7c and am currently working on a project in which the settings are NTSC DV. I am importing my files from a mini DV camera. I have noticed that the .avi files that I import have very noticable horizontal banding whenever there is motion as simple as someone walking into the screen. The banding is visible when previewed full screen on the best setting and after the video is rendered out.
Is there a setting I need to change to fix this problem in the project preferences or properties? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How does it look on a TV??? I can look that way on the computer and look fine when played on the TV.
Also what is your destination? If it’s TV, see above. If it’s the computer, try changing the project to progressive.

It looks the same on the TV. The final project will be rendered for a TV. I’ll try the progressive setting anyway. Thanks.
