    Hey.
Just reinstalled my MacPro late 2006, Final cut 7.0.3, and get the newest drivers from blackmagic multibridge 7.8.1.

Surprise – FCP just give me a message – unable to open a specified video output device – it may be use by another app, incorrectly connected or may be conflicting with a sound input device.

In the past everything was working good, maybe it is from 10.6.5? I have reading new system requirements in blackmagic home page, they say, that minimum sistem is macpro 2008. But till now was working good on 10.6.4 and fcp 7.0.3 Is that mean, that i can use it only with 10.6.0-4?

    Website says 10.6.5 is qualified.

Do you have any other video I/O drivers installed? That may cause a conflict.

Have you tied uninstalling the BM drivers, rebooting, reinstalling, rebooting, and trying again?

No, i don’t have any other IO devices. I solve the problem reinstalling mac osx, then on 10.6.0 install fcp and bm drivers, then do the software update. Now it’s working:)
