  • Baking particle emitter animation for export

I’ve tried the two main ways of baking particle animations (particle bake and mograph cache tag on a cloner with emitter as object). I want to export the particles as .obj or .fbx but neither are retaining the baked animation. Is this something that is not supported? Is there a way to ensure the animation bakes out with the particles?

    Hi Hillary,

I suggest that you convert the scene in the form of an Alembic file (ABC) because many of the problems that occur in the animation conversion on FBX do not exist in Alembic, and you will find in the conversion options box many useful options.

    Hope this helps you

    Thanks
