  • Baking Keyframes to a cinema 4D camera for Export to Maya

I have a camera rig set up in Cinema 4d with nulls powered by Xpresso, adjusting the rotation, position, etc.. I have keyframed the Main Null but am needing to export this data to maya. How can i bake the keyframes from the Null to another camera so that maya can interpret the data?

Since your camera is a child of Nulls you need to
connect its Global Matrix to a second Cameras Global Matrix
This second camera should be outside your hierarchy
(and placed last in the OM with no parent).
Now you can bake this second camera.(Timeline->Functions->Bake Object).

For export to Maya, try FBX.
Or get a chan importer for Maya (Google for it)
and get SteadyCHAN to export a chan file from Cinema.

If you use SteadyCHAN you only need to select your original camera
(No Baking or extra camera involved)
