  • Baked object shows question mark on texture

I have a simple extruded object that I used Bake Object on, (it’s just a simple texture using only the color channel). When I hit ‘bake’, it creates my new baked object with a question mark over the texture. I’ve tried making the current state to object and making it editable to see if it makes a difference when I bake. But it’s still the same result. However, when I try the same process with just a cube, it works fine and the texture is maintained. What could the problem with baking an extruded shape be?

If you expand the Extrude.1 null you should see the material on the enclosed Extrude:

Thank you, Jim! You are right, the textures were all inside the null. However, there were some texture issues upon importing the model into Mozilla Spoke, which I assumed had to do with the question mark–but I’m likely wrong (and this may be a topic for the Mozilla forum, so I may try there). Thank you so much for replicating this issue!
