    Hello:

    I found a handy script on https://aenhancers.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=941 that allows you to bake the data of an AE camera which is linked to nulls, into discrete keyframes. Quite a handy script if you want to then export that data into a 3D app, like Electric Image. However, when I try and do that using the great 3DMation MoCon script, I get less than perfect results in EIAS. Something is not translating properly, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out what.

    Can anyone please help?

    I can’t check,

    but perhaps it has to do with the pixel aspect exporting a different Camera FOV ?
    Try converting to square pixels, i seem to remember I had problems with something like that years ago with Cinema4D

    Thanks, but I already, and only work in square until I set up my renders. Although, that certainly doesn’t mean that there isn’t some issue with the FOV, but judging by the way the animation looks in EIAS, I still think it has more to do with the rotation order, or orientation.

    Out of curiosity, have you had success going from AES to C4D? The only script I have seen on AE Enhancers leaves MUCH to be desired…

    No, come to think of it, it was when exporting from C4D to AE that I had to do some voodoo to get the pixelaspect ratio factored into the fov.
    It’s been years since I touched C4D though…

    For a while I thought about writing my own exporter from AE to C4D using the VRML world spec, but I abandoned the effort exactly because of rotational order…
    Too much Math for me I’m afraid.
