    Hi!
I am editing material shot on the Sony 700 camera on sonys blueray discs.
    The material is in HD.
Now I am having trouble to get all the cotent out from one of the discs. I am loading from a Sony PDW-U1 unit and through the XDCAM transfer (2.7.0) into FCP. There are 43 clips out of 170 where it says it has problems reading the metadata and that the import stream is not good. The proxies looks good and plays fine and the rest of the clips imports without any problems.
Does anybody know of a way to get the clips into the FCP – or is there no way of doing so….?

    Kind regards
    Henrik

To answer my own question. I upgraded the transfer software to version 2.8 and that did the trick…

    Kind regards

The 2.7 version of the XDCAM transfer software doesn’t fully support the HD422 setting that the 700 can use. You need 2.8 or better, as you found out.

The current version of the software is 2.9, you can get from this page:
