My newly updated Premiere is all playback wonky now on my iMac. Can’t keep up with the video, red flashes, huge digital horn sounds.

I tried rolling back to 7.1 but Application Manager wouldn’t let me; gave me an error message (U44M2P7).

    Can anyone suggest anything else?

Problem solved – I googled the issue, followed the instructions, and am back up and running on 7.1.

    Maybe 7.3 will be a better idea…

I’m glad 7.1 is working for you. But I haven’t had any playback problems so far in 7.2, and it fixed a major bug in my workflow. That is, exporting multiple clips at a time from the bin would produce files with zeroed timecode.

Thanks for your response. I’ll be checking on the Blackmagic support page to see if they have any new updates for the Ultrastudio driver (the last was on Nov. 22nd, which I’m using now). I just had all sorts of playback issues with 7.2 – quite unlike any previous updates, which had all gone smoothly.

With this update I’m having problems with audio through my Kona LHi. The project I’m working on is a multicam project. Stopping and starting clears it up. This is a consistent problem right now.

Discovered that the AJA control panel swithed to 720 after the update. Reset to 1080 and all is well.
