    Bad quility when importing miniDV video

    I have a new MacBook Pro and I’m trying to import video taken on a miniDV camcorder but no matter how I try, it always comes out in poor quality. I’m using a 4 pin to 9 pin firewire cable to go from the camcorder to my computer and have tried importing it through Premier Pro and iMovie. Any ideas?

    Perhaps you have your monitor set to “Draft” or “Auto” quality.
