Bad Quality Footage Cleanup Suggestions?
Hi guys,
Probably quite a few posts here about stuff, but hoping for some emergency help if possible- Im dealing with some pretty awfully compressed footage, ripped from a DVD into ProRes 422 (so I have as much space as possible to save what I can)- Its exposed OK, its just pretty mediocre quality. The actual problem comes from the framing of shots, which is…interesting. Because its only for web playback, if it was HD or even good quality SD footage I could crop the shots in a way which presents them better, but as it stands it looks very questionable when I do that. I know there is no magic solution, but in an effort to please the client, I am trying to clean it up after cropping etc- do you guys have any suggestions, tutorials or links which could helps with this? Perhaps some of the advanced tools in Color to sharpen a little etc? As mentioned, it is only for web, so any slight improvement can help. Also regrettably I can’t show any examples because at this stage I’ve been instructed not to show anything for various reasons.Cheers!
