bad mograph student
i recently tried to do a simple radio wave concentric expanding circle animation using mograph and utterly failed. (ultimately i ended up just using a simple particle emitter set to scale the centered rings over time as they are emitted which worked OK.)
with mograph i had tried using a cloner to create the 30 rings and animating the scale. it sort of works and i could produce the overall concentric rings structure with 30 rings but instead of creating the rings one at a time i could only scale the whole clone from 0 up rather than the individual rings produced one at a time and scaling individually. i tried to get the step effector or the delay effector to offset the creation of the cloner rings but wasn’t sucessful.
i’ve been working with mograph, doing tutorials since number 1, trying to “get it”. i’ve created some really cool things based on the tutorials but this simple real world task stymied me. mylenium good teacher, me bad student. any pointers on how to use mograph to do this simple thing or one of the tutorials i should go back and study more closely?
