bad jitter
Hi i am a new encore user- just done my first project/burn (PAL). the menus are jittery. i made the freezes for menu bg’s in avid and only as one field to stop the two field jitter but it has the jitters. The text i created in encore and menu buttons etc also have the same problem. Is there a way to fix them in encore? i have after effects too is this the better way to go? I exported them out as psd’s from avid.
i hope someone can enlighten me! thanks in advance…

If possible in AVID I would suggest to export a whole frame (both fields) with deinterlacing. If AVID can’t deinterlace the image for you, use Photoshop or something similar to do do that.
Although I can’t imagine how, it could be that exporting to PSD somehow retains the field structure of the video. To avoid this you could try exporting as TIFF or a low compression JPEG.
